Principals Roundtable: Lets Blog About What We Learned

Yesterday's first Principal's Round Table Meeting was a great experience to share with our colleagues on how we are using Technology in our classrooms and also to learn new ways we can use Technology in our classrooms. Ms. Bennet-Carter started the meeting with a quote that I thought was very powerful...."Technology Inspires Students to Learn." I have been using a lot of the websites and strategies in my classroom but I learned that even though I am using these sites I need to let go of the pen and allow my students to interact more themselves. I have a hard time "giving up control" but to be an effective 21st Century teacher I know I have to let go of that control and allow my students to direct their own learning.
